Surgilube is the brand name for a sterile surgical lubricant jelly manufactured by Fougera. It is used to facilitate the easy insertion of catheters, endoscopes, surgical instruments, gynecological instruments, and gloves. It is also used as a condom-safe sexual lubricant. Although it has spermicidal properties, it is not to be used as a contraceptive.

Surgilube is sterile, water soluble, and non-staining. It will not affect surgical instruments, latex, rubber, or plastic and is non-irritating to skin, tissues, and mucous membranes. This combination of properties makes it a very popular lubricant choice in hospitals.

The active ingredient is chlorhexidine gluconate:
C22H30Cl2N10•2C6H12O7
