System 11 is a JAMMA compatible arcade system that was used by Namco for at least 12 known games. It was co-developed with Sony Computer Entertainment, Inc. and first released in 1994. With the exception of the video RAM, the hardware is more or less identical to a Sony Playstation allowing for easy and accurate arcade translations. Tekken was the first game released using this hardware.

The games are non-interchangeable and consist of ROM chips installed on a PCB. A full System 11 game consists of three PCBs. The main board contains the main I/O and sound hardware as well as the JAMMA edge connector. The CPU board holds the main CPU, graphics CPU, and their accompanying RAM chips. The ROM board contains the Intel branded ROM chips holding the game data. Point Blank 2 has a fourth board between the main and CPU boards for the light-gun interface. The main board has a second edge connector (resembling that of a PCI card) which allows for additional hardware expansion.
