Aka Telecollaborative art Artists used satellite networks, Video Teleconferencing, slow scan television for communication in the late 70s to the 90's. These works involved dispersed artists linked via networks or phone lines to exchange art works as communication or to directly interact. Pioneers are Kit Galloway and Sherrie Rabinowitz who's piece called "Hole in Space" used sattelites. They run the Electronic Cafe International. More recently using VR.
