A post-beat writer and good friend of
William S. Burroughs. His books include

The Magic Christian,

Blue Movie, and
Flash & Filigree.
He also penned the screenplays for The Magic Christian, starring Ringo Starr, and Barbarella, starring Jane Fonda.
Appearing on the cover of the Beatles' Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album, Terry Southern had a considerable impact on the literary and philosophical thinking of the 60's.
He died in 1995.
