For some reason there was a music video made for this mockery of a song. I've seen some references that it was a promotional video that was made for the BBC.
Leonard Nimoy is out in the desert with the happiest bunch of 1960s kids this side of Up With People. While ol' Spock himself sits on the rocks and serenades us, the kids do a little interpretive dance to the lyrics. Sometimes they're wearing hobbit ears, sometimes they're not.
And they're all wearing buttons! BIG ONES! That say things like "Hobbits UNITE!" and "Bilbo LIVES!" and "Appoint Leonard Nimoy to the U.N.!"
Why God? WHY?!?
