The Black Heart Procession, is a charming band from California, composed mostly of members of Three Mile Pilot. Pall Jenkins and Tobias Nathaniel write most of the songs, Pall, who is known to help out with Rob Crow's band Thingy sings and plays guitar. Tobias who serves as a pianist/organist, joined by other musicians who include Mario Rubacalba of Thingy as well.
Their music is consistent with a more darker side of three mile pilot, shying away from their guitar work, and moving more towards a cross between quiet sad piano music crossed with warped sound manipulation and a little bit of Johnny Cash western music thrown in.
