Second novel by author Sture Dahlström written in 1962.
Carl Sand is a Swede living in Spain, writing on a novel and looking for the woman of his life. One of his friends is the experimental mystic Gene from the US and his amazing sister Peggy. Together they live life, get screwed for their pesetas, get thrown into jail for fighting robbers, and just getting drunk. Carl gets together with Peggy after having persued somebody else, and they travel through Spain and Portugal. Together they restore the old house on the Cactus Path, buy some donkeys, plant banana trees, procreate. The sun shines. The warm smell of sugar canes drift trough the air.
