We traffick in lies, mostly.
hoping their resonant frequency doesn't break the movie;
From the pulpit, life is every bit as unreal as a bag of flour

We strive for truth, nominally
but our work is tainted despite all the tao
the truth which serves a paycheck is really no truth at all.

We thus play judge, practically
even though most of what we do is market our supposed impartiality,
our claim to legitimacy clouded in technical lingo

Our beautiful evidence happens to always satisfy the customer.
Such is the nature of sin --
but the sea is not mine.
