On Saturday nights in San Francisco, Rhythm and Motion Dance studio on Mission Street turns into The Dog House, a swing dance club.

Normally used for dance classes, the upstairs dance studio becomes the club floor. People seem to do more Lindy Hop than any other style, but you can also do East Coast Swing with almost anyone. If you don't know what either of these terms means, there is a beginner/intermediate lesson, if you show up early enough. The crowd is generally college aged to early 30's, but other ages show up.

R&M is on Mission between 7th & 8th streets. Here's the verbatim Dog House info from the R&M web site:

Saturdays Beg./Int. lesson 7:30-9pm , Dancing 9 pm– midnight, $12 class and practice, $8 dance only
