The Firebird (L'Oiseau de Feu) by Igor Stravinsky is a ballet in two scenes after a story by Fokine.

Prince Ivan catches the Firebird in the magic garden of Kastchei. She gives the prince a feather, which he may use to summon the Firebird in time of danger. Ivan falls in love with one of the 13 enchanted princesses held captive by the ogre Kastchei. The prince and the Firebird eventually defeat the monstrous Kastchei.
