The Just Another Toy (J.A.T.) theory of computing states that your computer must be treated like, and thought of as, just another toy. The instant you let your computer believe that it is doing something special, complex, amazing or novel, it will instantly become temperamental, stuck up, and will cease to function.

Computer professionals often attempt to convince their computer that it is just another toy by surrounding it with other toys, often purchased from Archie McPhee, ThinkGeek, or other popular culture toy supplier.
