Based in Chicago, Illinois, The Playground Theatre is the only Improvisational Non-Profit Co-op in the United States. The performers do everything from run the box office, to manning the light board, to cleaning the bathrooms and doing the bills.
The Playground runs an 'incubator program' which is ideal for introducing new performers into the world of improvisation and sketch comedy, which is the mainstay of Chicago theatre.
