A band, or, at this point, a person: Sky Sunlight Saxon, onetime acid casualty, who must be about sixty years old by now. The Seeds were a mid-60's Los Angeles band that scored a fluke hit with "Pushin' Too Hard" (a classic) and managed to last much longer than the average garage band obscurity, developing a heavy proto-punk sound; through numerous twists and turns, they still exist, I think, with Saxon the only original member left.
