This is the name of one of a series of short fables by G.E.Lessing. I have entered it in the original German as Der Sperling und der Strauß. An (approximate!) English translation is below.

The Sparrow and the Ostrich.

by G.E.Lessing

"Be as proud as you wish of your size, and of your strength," said the Sparrow to the Ostrich; "I am still more of a bird than you. For you cannot fly; I fly, though not high, though only by fits and starts."
