I was given this problem by my math teacher in Grade 9, and I still don't know the answer, or even if there is an answer. That was six years ago...

The three asterisks represent three utilities, the three number signs represent three houses. The idea is to connect each house to every utility, using lines (not necessarily straight). Here are the rules:

  1. You cannot cross lines
  2. You cannot "run the lines underground" or any other trick answer you can give.
  3. You cannot connect utility to utility, or house to house.

If someone can solve this, and prove it, I will retire from Everything...
