The walls we erect are paper
Thin and changing
Their purpose
But useless none the less
To leave notes and love letters on
In pencil so we can change
Our minds and wording
To strengthen
The meaning
And form
Ever more elaborate constructions
To help the world see
That ignorance isn't bliss
Fully aware of its surroundings either.
We fill in the gaps
With primary colours and stick
Figures as mastheads
To plough through the storms
So we can arrive at the same ports.
