They're trying to wash us away

 I know you think we ought to know better

but you don't know us

I know some of you think we ought to move

this is our home,  so I can tell you,  we ain't moving

Some folks up North think they have the answers

I don't think Mother Nature answers to them 


God's gonna send us sunshine somedays

other days,  gonna send us some rain 

We don't need no speeches,  don't need no preaching

no need to send us more trailers

A few boats would be appreciated

otherwise,  we'll be fine
