Ingleborough Hill, Whernside and Pen-y-Ghent in the Yorkshire Dales, UK.

A circular route climbing the three, usually starting and finishing at Horton-in-Ribblesdale is a (traditional) challenging day's hill walking covering 25 miles or so; it is also the route for a classic fell running race and a somewhat idiosyncratic (not to say completely daft) cyclo-cross event.

The hills in this limestone area are heavily caved and the area is popular with speleologists.

The term is also sometimes used for the three climbs of Ben Nevis, Snowdon and Scafell Pike - the highest points in Scotland, Wales and England - when done as a race or an all-in-one-day challenge by car and on foot.
