A machine man, manufactured by Smith And Tinker for the King of Ev. He is saved from imprisonment by Dorothy in L. Frank Baums Ozma of Oz. He is very Short and round, like a Victorian R2-D2, and made of copper with wind-up clockwork machinery inside him. One must use a key to wind up his ACTIONS, his THINKING, and his SPEECH. The dependency on being wound up is his only fault, which gets him in amusing difficulties sometimes. Matter-of-fact, direct, and devoted, Tiktok is yet another likable character in the Oz books.

In the film, Return To Oz, he is depicted as illustrated in the books, and constructed using animatronics.
