A city in the Morongo Basin area of the Mojave Desert of California, USA. Most commonly known for its United States Marine Corps base, known as MCAGCC or Marine Corps Air-Ground Combat Center.
It's a small town, about 50 miles from Palm Springs and 20 miles from Joshua Tree National Park

Unfortunate Marines, (such as myself, 10 years ago) end up getting stationed there, or going to training there at the Communication and Electronics school.
Most other Marines only rotate through a few weeks at a time during the summer months for a CAX (Combined Arms Exercise)
