'Up close and personal' is the nickname sometimes given to the member of the sound crew of a play, musical, concert, or other kind of show, who's job it is to attatch radio mics to the actors/singers.

The reason behind the nickname, as you might have guessed, is because the person involved has to run wires up the insides of people's clothes.

I think I'll leave the rest of this node to your imagination, although I'm sure you understand where the nickname came from now!
