RVD had used his
Van Daminator chair-assisted spinning kick /
Five Star Frog Splash combo
finisher for years, and despite them being amongst the most
over moves in wrestling, RVD had decided to take his brand of acrobatic destruction to a new level.
Launching his opponent
Balls Mahoney into the
turnbuckle, RVD set up the spot. Balls dropped to the floor in the corner, arms draped over the bottom ropes and head supported by the bottom
turnbuckle (AKA the
Bronco Buster position). RVD placed a chair over the head and upper body of his opponent, before ascending to the top of the turnbuckle adjacent to his fallen foe.
From the other side of the ring, RVD leaps, delivering a stunning dropkick with a sickening crunch against the face of his foe. The
pinfall is almost academic.
At
WrestleMania X-7,
Shane McMahon performed the Van Terminator on his father during their Streetfight match - subsitituting a trashcan for the usual chair.
