Largest known
collection of
ventriloquist memorabilia in the world, including
props,
costumes, autographed
photos, 500
ventriloquist dummies, and
books in 8
languages on
ventriloquism in the Vent Haven
library. The library also contains ventriloquism courses,
sheet music,
scripts,
pamphlets,
vintage playbills and
broadsides,
records,
tape recordings and
films. Most of the collection was amassed by
Kentucky businessman W.S. Berger from
vaudevillians retiring in the
1930s.
The museum, located in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky, is open May 1st through September 31.
