Vishwa Mohan Bhatt (1952- ), is an Indian slide guitar player, and the inventor of the "Mohan Veena," a modified Western-style guitar re-engineered to have sympathetic strings. Born to a musical family in Jaipur, Rajasthan, Bhatt studied under Ravi Shankar before ultimately winning international acclaim and "Pandit" status in his own right. Bhatt is best known in the west for his fusion music collaborations with various Western artists, especially his Grammy-winning 1994 teaming with Ry Cooder, A Meeting By the River.
