World Wide Web Artists' Consortium

A New York based non-profit group founded in 1994. For those of us living outside of NYC, the WWWAC is best known by its list server (wwwac@lists.wwwac.org). This very active mailing list focuses on web technologies and the web industry (especially Silicon Alley).

WWWAC membership consist primarily of jaded, acrimonious Web industry developers, designers, and rumor-mongers, thus WWWAC "artists" are more artisans (as in practitioners of a trade or craft) than traditional fine artists.
