Most of us have heard it said be it on television, on the radio, or perhaps even in film. But how many of us really know what they are talking about? Well here's my take on it.

Let's start with "Ey" it sounds like the name of the letter A. In the Greek Alphabet this was known as alpha the first letter of the alphabet the same as A. Now for "Oh". Oh sounds just like the letter O also rather like the OW sound in the word grOW, the same sound made by the letter omega, the last letter in the Greek Alphabet.

So in mentioning the beginning and the end of the alphabet. I beleive they are making a secretive reference to everything. When used as a greeting perhaps it is to mean "How is everything".

"I (Jesus Christ) am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End" -Revelations 22:13
