It is a mostly unoccupied lobby
There is a girl with long hair, glasses
I recognize her,
but don't know her name
She is standing next to someone else I don't know
The girl is standing very close
talking to the guy about something that matters to her
occasionally touching the edges of his jacket
but just for a few seconds
The guy is listening, but not looking at her
as if he doesn't want to appear too interested or
isn't comfortable with eye contact or
has someplace else he needs to be
She has most of her weight on a single foot,
the other barely touching the ground
a single toe- half a pirouette
her head tilted to one side
From where I am standing
she is having an important conversation
But I'm halfway across the room and
she's not talking to me
