I think I know what it is like to be you.
I have had ample opportunity to be charming, yet aloof.
Have had more than a few nights of adoration,
more than enough stolen glances (mine)and hopes dashed (theirs).
I am exhausted now,
No longer feeling the need to be the center of attention.
I need some time to be quiet and listen to something other than
the sound of my own voice.
