Canadian comedy club. It's a nice place to go if you want to get out, but not feel pressured to get really, really drunk, or you don't like to dance (and like to be able to hear your own thoughts).
Amateur night is great if you're a student... $2 to get in, or if, you know someone performing who can get you tickets, free.
It can be slightly risqué, lots of sex talk, lots of swearing. (Fuck fuck fuckety-fuck wouldn't really raise any eyebrows.) I've been there with my parents (to watch my sister's fiancé), but they are dirty and I'm used to them alluding to sex in front of me (nonetheless asking me about my sex life). I would recommend against taking incredibly religious friends, though if they seem open to it, go for it.
Generally, a good time to be had by all.
