Son of Josiah Was originally named Mattania. Puppet king of Judah for Nebuchandnezzar put on the throne by Judah’s captor, the Babylonian King of Nebuchadnezzar. Zedekiah personified all that was wrong with Judah. He eventually revolted and was later captured, forced to watch his sons executed, and then blinded so that his sons death would be the last thing he ever saw. He was then chained and carried to a prison in Babylon, where he spent the rest of his life.
