I’ve always connected springtime with the fresh breezes that sailed through the air and set the senses alight.  What I saw seemed more radiant: scenes of dancing color and piercing light, shining dizzily with an excess of energy that cannot be used all at once.  The surrounding aromas were always pleasant, with innumerably different flowers all blossoming and releasing their different fragrances.  Ubiquitous birdcalls and cricket chirps accompanied nights of sustained sleep.  The memories I had were intensely engraved with a newfound mental energy.
