Operating System Locales need to actually relate to the location you are in.
Currently locales are very generic and just minor spelling changes etc are made (at lease in the case of English locales).


These need to be more specific, I'll begin by using New Zealand as an example:


And what about other countries / dialects like Cockney Slang:
  • "Exit" could be "Scarpa"(Scarpa Flow)
  • "Back" could be "Hammer and Tack"
  • "Insert Table"??, how about "Insert Cain and Able"

Also, funnily enough the Slang for Window is "Burnt Cinder". I wonder if there is any relation there at all?? Mr Gates??
Anyway, I'm sure there are plenty of other ideas out there, but this should plant the seed of thought.
