A
feature found in most
first-person shooter games these days. By
pressing a
special fire button (usually the
right mouse
button) you can make a special attack with your weapon. In
Unreal
Tournament you
fire gangster style with the
Enforcer, in
Unreal and
Counter Strike you can use alternative
fire to zoom while using sniper rifles and so on.
Also, in Unreal there is a neat trick if you have the
ASMD Shock Rifle: press alternative fire to fire a ball of energy,
then try to hit the ball with a primary shot. If done right (I takes
some practice), the ball explodes, doing massive damage.
