Rock Music as a hi-tech Nuremburg Rally. Featuring noise pollution, exaggerated and often clichéd theatrics, all the hits, and the intimacy that only a sports arena can bring. It's more about the lasers, pyrotechnics, blood-spitting, and volume (in decibels and in sheep) than it is about the music. Or, as William Shakespeare might say, the show's the thing. The top Woodstock-era bands and impressarios birthed it; its true lineage is Kiss to Boston to Def Leppard to Metallica.
