"Bias sliced" is a cooking term meaning to slice at a 45-degree angle. Often used in oriental recipes to cut vegetables, but is also used on other foods such as steak in some recipes.

Standard Disclaimers for using a knife. Be careful don't lose a finger, it would suck if you couldn't pick your nose like I know you do in the car when you think nobody is looking. Until you turn and see some attractive lass in the car next to you... staring at you... aghast by your oafish. But we have all been there haven’t we. So make sure the knife is clean and sharp, you’ve washed your hands and the object to cut, and slice away at a 45-degree angle. NO the other way! AWAY from you! Yeah, now you are getting it. Good luck and keep cookin'.
