The
Bureau of Land Management, an organization of the
United States government. This organization basically owns all the land that no one else owns, mainly in the
desert. The land is used for varying purposes including
grazing,
mining,
logging, etc. It's legal to
camp on
BLM land, which is a good thing to know if you're out in the
desert
The BLM is also known as the Bureau of Livestock and Mining or the Bureao of Large Men.
