Thing that allow fast access to some information. Traditionnaly implemented using pieces of paper inserted between book's pages. The electronical version of bookmarks can be found in web browsers, and stores URLs (hyperlinks) and metadata for fast retrieving.
Most of us keep too many bookmarks to use them all.
