A type of barrel on a firearm that is the same outside diameter along its entire length. It is normally thicker than standard gun barrels as well, providing better rigidity for high accuracy shooting.
This extra thickness and constant diameter provide better heat dissipation and less change in ballistics during shooting as the barrel heats up and the metal begins to expand.
