A

police in potentially
dangerous combat situations involving
guns. The vest is intended to stop
low-calibre projectiles shot at the body of the person.
Todays vests are typically made of Kevlar®. Despite what people usually think, regular vests can only stop pussy rounds... A normal 7.62mm target rifle shooting round will make quick business of the Kevlar®...not to mention a sniper using armour-piercing ammunition!
