A list of several items, printed such that each item begins a new line and is preceded by a bullet character. A bulleted list is often indented one tab stop in from the surrounding text's left margin.

Bulleted lists are commonly used when the items being listed are too long to practically fit in a single in-line sentence. They are also used in outlines and presentations, often to list alternatives or features. They are not recommended for use when listing the steps of a procedure; use a numbered list for that.

In HTML, a bulleted list may be generated with the unordered list tag, <UL>; each item is introduced with the list item tag, <LI>.
