you're my little atom bomb.
i see you ripping my sky in two like a meteor,
getting bigger as space between turns into space behind,
as unintentional as you are inescapable.
you'll hit and everyone will know it
because i won't scream, but my ground
will catch flame and my air will thicken with
poison and burn my throat on my last breath,
and the wind will stop for your cloud.

if i'm lucky i'll leave a shadow on the pavement,
a blur of negative space where i used to be,
a bit of memory untouched.
but it can't get expression, no teary cheeks or
determined eyes. just a silhouette.

best part is, i can see you coming
and that doesn't mean a thing.
