Card stock is a weight range of paper. It's thicker than typing paper, pretty much like the weight of the average greeting card (go figure). It's a good weight to use for signs that need to be propped up, for art prints, etc. It's normally not so thick that it won't go through a laser printer, and it's not too expensive. Most copy stores and office supply stores carry cardstock.
