I saw a man the other day at the
bus stop, presumably homeless. I say presumably because he was dirty and tired looking, and his clothes were kind of old and
value village type. However, that could mean nothing. I am often tired and wearing value village clothes. this guy's clothing was at the time, nicer than what i was wearing. He had just lit a
cigarette out of a nice new pack with a lighter, and proceed to ask me if i could "
spare some change for the helpless".
no. I'm a student. I need all the spare change I can get. And i was definitly more helpless than this guy. He was in good shape and could have easily gotten a job at any one of the places that wouldn't hire me because i'm a girl.
Maybe if he'd spent the cigarette money on food or shelter.
