Circle City is a small town (population 86) in northeast Alaska. It's very close to the Arctic Circle, on the south bank of the Yukon River at the edge of the Yukon Flats, 160 miles northeast of Fairbanks.

The only reason I know about it is my great-grandfather lived there for a few years on and off when he was mining for gold in the Yukon. He met Jack London there and said he had bad manners and wasn't such a good cook.
