A
negative personality trait. The name of it is derived from the concept of
heat sink (an object which
absorbs heat. A
cluesink is a person who, in a
conversation, will actually
deprive others of
clue. This person stands in
opposition to
those who would impart clue to the
clueless, absorbing it as fast as it is imparted.
A cluesink will often ask questions which seem reasonable at first blush, but simply serve to confuse the issue.
