Coccidiosis is a disease caused by one or more of approximately 12 different species of protozoa, called Eimeria, which parasitize and destroy cells lining the intestinal tract of the victim.
It affects Goats, Sheep and was used as the cover for the first executions (of nine hens) in George Orwell's Animal Farm.
