Originated at The ChipShop in NYC, deep fried Twinkies originated out of the boredom of a slow night. Since their conception, they have been seen as far away as Washington state, where they were served at the Puyallup, Washington fair.

Kept cold and rolled in flour and batter, the Twinkies are deep fried for 90 to 120 seconds at 380 degrees Fahrenheit. They are then drained and sprinkled with powdered sugar. Then, to increase the empty calories and calories from fat, they can be served with chocolate syrup and whipped cream.

The result is a warm Twinkie with a crust-like exterior, soft interior, and a cool filling. It is best eaten with a fork and is very sweet.
