paper-based forms where a number of mutually exclusive options are given and the person
filling in the form is requested to
strike out those that are not appropriate.
For example:
Title: Mr / Mrs / Miss / Ms / Dr (delete as appropriate)
In computer-based forms the nearest equivalent would be a set of radio buttons.
