A subcategory of the DIY ethic. A form of recycling where, instead of sending off your used junk to some far-off factory that processes your cans into your car, you recycle your stuff right here and now.

An example of this is making your shoes out of a tire. You simply recycle your things for yourself.

Of course, it doesn't always have to take the form of irregular DIY, but can simply be mashing your paper and remaking it.
