It's true that drinking beer and banging out power chords is the backbone of rock music today, but wasn't it always? You say that like it's a bad thing! Beer is the life-blood of rock and roll and it is in the nature of rock and roll that this should be so. Power chords are important because they only take two fingers to play, and that's crucial when you can't count to three any more due to the beer.
